SYDNEY, Australia (AFP) — Western side Indies have been allowed to call-up Manley Charles to replace batsman Darren Animado who was ruled out of the World Cup having a hamstring injury.
Charles, a 26-year-old top order batsman, has bet 30 ODIs in which he has rated 869 runs with two hundred years and as many half-centuries.
His previous ODI was against New Zealand in Hamilton in January 2014.
Bravo suffered a left cripple injury in the 150-run win over Pakistan in Christchurch last weekend plus missed Friday's 257-run defeat merely by South Africa at the Sydney Cricket Environment.
The 26-year-old Trinidadian made forty-nine against Pakistan before he was needed to retire hurt.
West Indies are blessed with won two and lost a pair of their four matches so far and then play defending champions India throughout Perth on March 6.
