Mobile chip maker mediatek in terms of this year's CES show three new processors, but are not designed for Smartphones or tablet computers. This time, their target the smart watch, networking devices and Blu-ray video player. Three-chip model numbers MT8581, MT2523, MT7697.
MT8581 processors are chips designed for Blu-ray player and TV set-top box design, supports Ultra HD 2160P video decoding and HDR images. Meanwhile, MT8581 also supports the H2.65/HEVC and 3840x2160 resolution/60fps VP9 video playback and MP2, VP8 video playback and 1080p/60fps VC-1. In 2016 will start shipping in the second half.
MT2523 integrated processor designed for low power consumption design of intelligent watches, built-in GPS and Bluetooth low power double support. Mediatek said MT2523 supports high resolution screen, battery life and can be brought up to a week. With a MT2523 processor smart watches will be unveiled in the first half of this year. MT7697 the latest mediatek MT7697 processor designed for networking and smart home products designed to support low power Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi connection, including smart light bulbs, thermostats, webcams and other products are available through the MT7697 to access to the Internet or a Smartphone.
